Our Approach

Rusty Ziegler isn’t just the owner of K&Z Builders, LLC – he is also the builder. By taking a hands-on approach to every project, he has set himself apart from other custom builders.

At K&Z Builders, custom is not just a tag line. Each and every detail of your home or addition project is designed, selected, and decided by you. People sometimes think the word “custom” corresponds with “expensive”. This is not the case. Because we manage all our own projects at K&Z Builders, we are able to offer a low cost of sales. There are no designers, selection coordinators, or superintendents on our payroll and that allows us to keep cost affordable.

Our building process is not complicated. It is very natural for Rusty to build anything imaginable – because it all starts with a planned approach. During the design phase as the drawings are coming to life, Rusty is already thinking about how it will all fit together. Before the ground is broken, Rusty has a pre-construction meeting with the homeowners. After the plans are complete and everyone is ready to start, he goes the extra mile by having another planned meeting. This allows Rusty to answer all of the homeowner’s questions, such as when the lot will be cleared, when the project will be finished, and when the customer can move in. Reviewing the plans, specifications, and schedule is something that cannot be rushed or ignored. Rusty understands that communicating the timeline is something customers really appreciate.
